A family of four gets caught up in trouble as they travel from California to Texas. “ End of the Road ” is a suspenser that fails to make a suspension. The social commentary doesn't stand altitudinous; what could have been a nipping experience is reduced to a parody of feathers. The over-saturated visual aesthetic of the film doesn't work well with the kidney. The overall performance of the cast was estimable, and it's the only aspect of the film that works. The road trip could have been poignant had it been dealt with the right way.
