‘ The Girl In The Mirror ’ Plot Summary – What Is The Series About?

As a part of their final scale trip, a group of scholars visits the mountains in Asturias, Spain, before eventually parting their ways and moving ahead in life. They spend a night at a lodge called Nuberu, where the narrative introduces the major characters of the series. A youthful girl named Alma has lately lost her identical family, Lara, who failed of a brain excrescence. Alma has a stylish friend, Deva, who's intimately in love with her, but Alma also likes a classmate named Tomas “ Tom, ” who used to date Deva. Other than this complex love triangle, there are two further prominent characters present. One is Bruno, who runs the Number lodge and lives there with his youngish family, Alex, and his forefather, Efren, who has Alzheimer’s. A pupil, Martin Monteagudo, is infatuated with Bruno, and the romantic pressure between them is relatively apparent.

The coming morning, the scholars leave the lodge, presumably to return to their homes, when suddenly a thick mist/ fog covers the mountain roads, turning the visibility to zero. The machine motorist, Carlos, steps out of the vehicle to check the roads when suddenly he spots mysterious red and black murk. Out of fear, Carlos returns to the machine and tries to drive sluggishly when the shadow brutes run in front of the machine, and Carlos loses control of the vehicle. The machine falls from the precipice, and numerous scholars lose their lives in the accident. still, those who survived are scarred ever. Some of them acquire physical injuries, while some are hit with lifelong internal trauma. But that’s not the end of it. The survivors are also visited by supernatural beings, and fail to understand their presence.

Alma survived the accident but suffered numerous physical injuries, including a broken ankle, two caricatures, a backbone, and a nasal septum. A bruise also leads to perpendicular presbyopia in her vision, which is why she has to wear an eye patch for clear visibility. And overall, the accident has touched off her amnesia, because of which she doesn’t flash back anything about her once life. Along with many others, Tom, too, survives the accident but has lost a part of his leg, because of which he'll noway be suitable to swim again. Before the accident, Tom used to be a professional athlete and was hoping for a sports education at a prestigious council in the US, but after the injury, all his plans came to a halt.

After spending months in the sanitarium, Alma’s parents, Pilar and Roman, bring her home so that she can recapture her lost memory and speed up her recovery. While trying to flash back to who she is, Alma’s soul feels like an alien inside her body. She feels that the recollections she's getting back don’t belong to her. Alma is curious about herself, and her pursuit leads her deeper into history. On the other hand, Bruno finds out that the deliverance platoon hasn’t recovered Martin’s body and, hence, he surmises that he has fallen into one of those grottoes in the mountains. Bruno and Martin’s family, Diana, conduct a secret deliverance operation to bring back Martin.

The series further follows Alma’s disquisition for the answers where, through her trip, the observers get to know further about Alma’s family, Lara, and her preoccupation with fabulous legends to save her life. Lara discovers the White Sisterhood and their magical ‘ hexaspeculum ’ that can change a person’s fortune. Diana, on the other hand, tells Bruno that her family has been collecting rare vestiges from archeological spots hundreds of times. The most prized possession of her family is a book that predicted the reincarnation of a demon called Therion. Alma’s curiosity to find out about her once life and Diana’s pursuit to find out further about the legend of Therion are the two most prominent conflicts which are explored further in “ The Girl in the Mirror ” Season 1.

Who Was Therion? How Was He expressed?

Bruno’s forefather, Efren, was the only narrator through whom the legend of Therion and his five spirits, or retainers, was revealed to the observers. According to him, some places in the world act as gateways to another realm from which the brutes of those realms stay patiently for an occasion to walk into the mortal world. The mountains of the Asturias, where Efren lived with his grandchildren, were a caching place for a demon named Therion and his five murk, who had been living there since Neolithic times. Therion was a demon from the depths of the earth who had the power to control nature and its brutes. He could only be summoned by gathering the five busts that represent the attributes of his different spirit creatures, which were the cunning of the wolf, the wisdom of the bear, the freedom of the eagle, the strength of the captain, and the snake’s capability to exfoliate its skin. Grounded on these details, it could be allowed that Therion was a reference to the Beast from the Sea or the False Prophet from the Bible’s Book of Revelation.

Summoning Therion was a complex and parlous ritual. To come to the mortal world, Therion needed a vessel. still, before he could retain a mortal body, that particular vessel had to be brought to the verge of death so that its spirit or ghost could leave the body and Therion could take its place. After a body was offered to Therion, it was his decision whether to foray into that person’s body and save them or turn them into one of his retainers ever. These retainers of the five spirits of Therion had been hunting for vessels to summon their master in a mortal form, which means that he'd failed and been revived several times throughout the centuries. Therion was immortal, but these vessels weren’t. He always demanded youthful, healthy mortal bodies so that he could use their life forces to control nature and its creatures. However, also Therion’s spirit would return to the depths of the earth, I, If his retainers failed to find a suitable vessel for him.e., to the red chamber. In the meantime, his retainers would hunt for another vessel for their master.

Was The Bus AccidentPre-Planned?

Martin’s family, Diana, mentioned a book in her forefather’s rare artifact collection that predicted a series of violent deaths throughout history. Through this book, Diana discovered Martin’s accident, which was an ineluctable tragedy, and she knew that after the crash, Martin would fall into the red chamber, which was their sleeping place of Therion. At first, she presumably didn’t believe in these tragedies, but the machine accident impelled her to believe in the insolvable. therefore, it was explained that Therion’s retainers would beget a tragedy to retain new bodies with the help of which they could reunite and carry out the ritual to bring their master to the mortal world. As soon as the machine hit the ground, the murk ran towards the bodies, swinging between life and death so that they could foray their bodies. They successfully held Rogue and Laura, who latterly helped their sisters to capture the bodies of Bruno, Nico, and Rogue’s family, therefore completing the reunion.

Who Was The Scribe, Or Nico?

While chronicling his stories, Efren formerly mentioned the actuality of a mischief anomaly that, throughout history, had taken advantage of the planned entrance of Therion’s spirit to change bodies and come immortal. In a flashback sequence, we saw a Scribe who had theScribe, Roman number 3 inscribed on his arm. The anomaly had shifted three times before now. Every time the retainers of Therion would beget a tragedy like a machine accident, the anomaly would take advantage of the situation to replace his/ her own body. At present, Nico was his/ her eighth vessel who had been running down from Therion’s retainers as they needed the anomaly to finish the reincarnation ritual. Along with Nico, there was one further anomaly whose purpose was revealed at the end of “ The Girl in the Mirror ” Season 1 and is presumably going to play an important part in Season 2. The main character, Alma, was the one who would open the door for Therion to come into the mortal world.

What Was The White Sisterhood? What Was The Purpose Of “ Hexaspeculum ”?

still, also the White Sisterhood was the opposing force that was trying to stop his manifestation If Therion and his retainers were the dark spirits of the series. The White Sisterhood was a side of youthful foreseers or anomalies, managed by their schoolteacher, Enora. They had a rare “ Hexaspeculum, ” an esoteric nautical instrument made up of six glasses. It was believed that ‘ Hexaspeculum ’ had magical parcels which would reveal to the foreseers the tragedies that were going to be caused by Therion’s menial to retain the mortal bodies. It would also allow the foreseer to transfer their spirit or ghost into another body, allowing them to achieve eternity and fulfill their fortune. In a flashback scene, a youthful foreseer or an anomaly called Aurora visits Enora’s castle, following her voice in her subconsciousness. She entered the ‘ Hexaspeculum ’ where the glasses revealed her two identical sisters, Lara and Alma, with a symbol on their wrists.

Through the “ Hexaspeculum, ” Aurora discovered her fortune, which was to guide Lara and Alma in the future. These two identical sisters with a symbol on their wrists were going to play an important part in the coming of Therion, and hence they had to be set up before his retainers could retain their bodies. With the help of the magical glass, sunup got the power to change bodies, which was the reason why she had survived so numerous times. latterly, she met Lara and Alma in the present time and revealed to them the powers of the ‘ Hexaspeculum. ’ When Lara met sunup, she formerly knew about her brain excrescence, but she didn’t want to die so youthful, and hence she decided to change her fortune through “ Hexaspeculum. ” Lara, Deva, Alma, and Tomas went to the remains, where Lara set up the magical glass and went into the chamber. still, she was devastated by the vision she saw inside it. She latterly changed her decision to change bodies. still, her spirit floated around as she was flashed back by her family and musketeers. According to sunup, the spirit or ghost of a mortal being would live on the face of the earth only if he or she's flashed back by the bones they've left before, which is presumably why Lara placed so important emphasis on recollections. nonetheless, it wasn’t just Lara who entered the “ Hexaspeculum, ” but Deva and Alma visited it too, as seen by sunup inside the chamber.

Why Did Deva Steal Alma’s Body? Who Was The Ghost?

The vaticination was about the identical sisters, Lara and Alma, who would come necessary in Therion’s return. still, when sunup saw the third bone
in her vision, she knew the commodity worse was going to be in the future, which brings us to the hurdles created by Deva. Deva was in love with Alma but was dating Tom because he sounded like a nice joe to her. still, Tom was intimately in love with Alma, and Alma, too, had passions for him but noway confessed it because she didn’t want to break Deva’s heart. During the trip that Lara had planned, Deva saw Tom and Alma kissing each other on the sand, and Deva did n’t want to lose Alma. It was Deva who gave an redundant cure of morphine to Lara so that she could die peacefully without any pain. After Lara’s death, both Deva and Alma were fully devastated, and during their stay in Nuberu, Alma decided to express her passion for Tom and kissed him in front of Deva, which pushed Deva further.

On that night, Deva decided to visit to enter the ‘ Hexaspeculum ’ to change her fortune as she wasn’t fully happy with the life she was living. A point to add Deva was molested by her mama’s swain, Ricardo. When Deva told her mama about it, her mama indicted her of manipulating her to get her attention. Soon after her visit to the “ Hexaspeculum, ” Deva attained the power to change bodies, and after the woeful machine accident, her spirit left her body. At the same time, Alma was floundering between life and death, and her spirit left her body shortly. While Therion’s retainers were looking for bodies to take over, Lara’s spirit showed up and asked Deva not to give in to her rapacity. It could be suspected that at one point, Lara was greedy to change bodies with a healthy person, but she understood that time isn't the measure of one’s life, and she wanted to sermonize the same to Deva. However, it would have saved a lot of twists and turns, but she didn’t, If she had heeded.

At the accident spot, Deva stole Alma’s body while Alma’s spirit was left to wander the geography of her recollections and the world of the people who were close to her. In the geography of recollections, Alma’s spirit set up a gate through which she was suitable to travel to the history, present, and future. According to sunup, time doesn’t live in this realm, and therefore it was explained to the observers that the ghost Lara saw throughout her life was no bone
different than her family, Alma, who was stuck in the geography of recollections. Indeed the ghost that Deva in Alma’s body saw in the sanitarium and at present belonged to Alma, who was trying to scarify Deva to return to her body, but Alma’s body had lost all its recollections, which was why Deva’s spirit in Alma’s body failed to understand those warnings. She believed it was Lara’s ghost who was trying to communicate with her, but it was Alma each on. So in “ The Girl in the Mirror, ” Season 1, three people used the “ Hexaspeculum ” and attained the possibility to change bodies, which created a ton of misconstructions and crooked plot lines.

How Did Alma Get Her Body Back?

Sunup told Tom that the spirit inside Alma’s body belonged to Deva, and to bring the real Alma back, he'd kill Alma temporarily so that Alma’s spirit could return to her body. still, Tom could n’t gather enough strength to poison her and parted ways with Deva in Alma’s body. latterly, another anomaly, Nico, met Deva in Alma’s body and allowed her to flee with her. Nico wanted to run down because the retainers of Therion demanded her and Alma’s bodies to finish the manifestation ritual. But before running down, Deva wanted to finish one last task, which was to expose Ricardo. In Alma’s body, Deva set up her phone near the “ Hexaspeculum, ” and inside the cell phone, she had a videotape in which Ricardo tried to molest her. Deva transferred the videotape to her mama, Lucia, and requested her to leave Ricardo, as soon as Lucia saw the videotape, she seized a brace of scissors and attacked Ricardo under the roof. still, it could be supposed that Ricardo overpowered Lucia and killed her or oppressively wounded her. Lucia’s fate wasn’t revealed until the end. hysterical that his crimes would come public, Ricardo came to Alma’s house to stop her from spreading the videotape. He tried to attack her and ultimately suffocated her, which pushed Deva’s spirit out of Alma’s body. Alma’s spirit appeared and pushed Ricardo before he could fully kill Alma. Eventually, to take her vengeance, Deva’s spirit pushed Ricardo out of the tree house, where he landed on a diced tree branch and presumably failed due to a fatal blow to his head/ neck. At this point, Alma’s spirit had lost all its energy as she had made contact with a living being and was about to vanish when Deva had a change of heart. She told Alma that she always wanted to cover her and was in love with her. Lara’s spirit appeared too, and the two helped Alma’s spirit get back into her body; eventually, Alma got back into her body. still, the fate of Deva and Lara’s spirits wasn’t revealed at the end of “ The Girl in the Mirror ” Season 1, but it could be suspected that the two would vanish for breaking the rules of the spirit world and making contact with a living human being.

‘ The Girl In The Mirror ’ Season 1 Ending Explained – Did The murk Summon Therion?

To completely summon Therion, his retainers had to externalize first, and for that, they demanded mortal vessels, which was their quest from the morning of the series. After the machine accident, the two retainers of Therion raided Rogue and Laura’s bodies while the other three hunted for other vessels. One of the murk tried to retain Martin’s body, but it was veritably important alive, which was why the shadow failed to foray into Martin’s body. still, while wedged inside the red gravestone grottoes, Martin was floundering between life and death. He had a strong will that defended him from the evil spirits and was fortunately saved by Bruno and Diana. On the other hand, Rogue and Laura were taken to the sanitarium and put on a ventilator, which is why their spirits were still inside their bodies, and hence Therion’s menial failed to seize control of the vessel. When Rogue’s family decided to turn off the ventilator to give their son a peaceful death, Rogue’s spirit was expelled by Therion’s menial, after which it took control of Rogue’s body.

As soon as one of the retainers was expressed, he decided to help his fellow sisters. guileful tried to infect Carlos’s body and successfully expelled Carlos’s spirit from his body, but latterly, Carlos was killed by a hired homicide named Felix, who worked for Martin’s father. latterly, Felix tried to kill Rogue, but Rogue’s family attacked him before and killed him. latterly, Rogue went to the sanitarium and expelled Laura’s spirit from her body to turn her into a monster like him. The other two retainers of Therion attacked Bruno’s family in the mountains. One of them successfully captured Efren’s body, which was on the verge of dying due to his old age. The evil spirit in Efren’s body attacked Bruno to externalize him into an immature body. The menial of Therion had fully taken over Bruno’s body, but the fact was revealed at the end of “ The Girl in the Mirror ” Season 1. In the meantime, Rogue and his family attacked Nico, the anomaly, and one of the retainers captured its body too. So the fancies of the medieval clerk that were depicted during one of the flashbacks eventually came into a reality. The clerk had told the scribe that some 220 times latterly, three males and two ladies would compass the coming vessel of Therion on the sixth full moon night of 2021. According to the book of prognostics, Martin Monteagudo was the coming vessel of Therion, which is why the Monteagudo family played such an important part in erecting the events. The clerk also saw a sixth person in his vision who had a symbol like the one on Alma’s wrist, and according to him, it would be their leader who would open the door for Therion’s appearance.

The ending shot of “ The Girl in the Mirror ” Season 1 had the scene designed exactly like the vision of the books, so until now, everything was passing to the prognostics mentioned in the book. The book also informed Diana that a member of the family of the vessel’s own family would shoot the chosen to the murk. It was Diana who gave the keys to the auto to Martin so that he could express his passions to Bruno, ignorant of the fact that Bruno’s body had formerly been captured by the evil spirits. The murk stole the busts from Diana’s father’s house before, so the spirits had everything they demanded in the manifestation ritual except for one thing Alma.

What To Anticipate From ‘ The Girl In The Mirror ’ Season 2?

After Alma gets her body back, she visits Aurora’s library, feeling a bit misplaced and distant. sunup tells her that her trip has just begun and gives her a flower of water pendant, thereby declaring her as her heir at law who'll cover the world from the coming of Therion. According to the book of prognostics, Alma, an anomaly that bears the symbol, will open the door for the final incoming of Therion, and therefore, Alma is clearly going to play an integral part in “ The Girl in the Mirror ” Season 2.

Indeed if the murk has gathered all the particulars needed for the ritual, there's still a long and complex process ahead of them. They've to take Martin to the red chamber, where they will prepare his body to be offered so that Therion’s spirit can take over the vessel. still, to bring Therion’s spirit to the mortal world, they need Alma, which is going to be a delicate task for them. Season 2 will be about how the murk will conspire to kidnap Alma, while on the other hand, Alma, with the help of sunup and other foreseers, will league to fight against the evil forces. So, will the events unfold as prognosticated in the book, or is there another possible outgrowth? During her walk on the geography of recollections, Alma’s spirit met Rogue’s spirit, who told Alma that he'd seen quite a lot of possible futures, and in his future, she'd be the one who brought Rogue’s spirit back to his body. Rogue can presumably have that future only if Alma successfully combats the wrong and stops the coming of Therion, but if not, also it'll presumably be the end of these five bodies captured by the murk along with a million others who'll be controlled by Therion. Season 2 will tell us better.
