They say one finds love when he or she least expects it. It can be at any nanosecond. Allowing you to be in love and realizing you're in love are two different effects. The ultimate is the one when you know you’ve planted love. “ Love Tactics” is a Turkish romantic comedy that shows the love story of two egoists and tone-placarded love exponents who accidentally find each other and fall in love as if it was written in their fortune.
When Two Amateur Love Experts Are Challenged
Asli is a 28- time-old fashion developer. She's successful and the face of a big fashion brand. She could be the billing girl for youthful, rich, and prosperous megacity girls. Besides her professional career, she has a hobbyhorse that she practices with an analogous passion for blogging. She runs a blog on love and connections called “ Love Tactics.” She frequently shares advice and tactics on courting and connections. Indeed her musketeers always go to her when there's a relationship problem. Asli is a tone-placarded love expert, but then comes the real deal she has noway been in love herself. When one of her followers asks her if she has ever applied her love tactics to her own love life, she's intrigued. She realizes she has no way done that and her musketeers challenge her to make a joe fall in love with her using the tactics. Ambitious Asli accepts the challenge and informs her followers as well.
Kerem is a 30- time-old advertising expert and a glutton. He's known to have one-night-stands with girls and noway see them again. His musketeers can noway imagine him falling in love with someone or someone falling for him. Kerem is too disinterested to do that. He has veritably prejudiced views on how to invite a woman, much like Asli has about men. When a design that he has worked hard on gets assigned to his colleague and friend, Tuna, his friend makes a bet and promises to give him his design back if he can make a girl fall in love with him. Kerem accepts the challenge because of his macho personality, which he believes can noway fail to win over a woman. Two tone-placarded love experts are about to cross paths to produce a fake love story. What will their pride-driven love story turn out to be?
How Do Asli & Kerem Fall In Their Own Trap?
Asli and Kerem are attending the same party and are looking for a target. While Asli and her musketeers are looking for an easy target, they see Kerem checking Asli out. Kerem’s musketeers have chosen Asli for him to invite and make her fall in love with him. Their game of love tactics starts with Kerem casually flirting with Asli and her calling every move of his cliché. Their coming move is a planned coexistence. Though their planned coexistence fails, an absolute coexistence makes them meet again.
They concurrently meet while leaving a commercial party and have regale together. Kerem uses his tried and proven tactics to impress Asli, but she knows them too well and makes fun of him for using them on her. The concurrence don’t stop, and they end up going to Kerem’s nonage home in Cappadocia. Asli sees a different side of Kerem in his birthplace than what she has seen as a megacity glutton. He has genuine connections with people he loves there. She also gets to know the woeful story of losing his parents. Kerem’s mama left him and his father when he was relatively youthful, and soon after, his father also passed away, leaving him on his own. Kerem demanded the presence of love in his life while growing up. His mama didn’t come for him indeed after his father passed down, and he still holds a pitiful grudge against her for that.
Asli realizes that she's too hypercritical of Kerem. She saw him through the spectacles of stereotypical bias. Intentionally, she's breaking down from her own beliefs. Kerem is making her change the way she looks at guys. For Kerem, it's the first time he has participated in his veritably particular life with a girl. After realizing how invested they've gotten in each other in a short span of time, they hold back from making a move. As they get to know each other more, they've started to feel commodities they haven’t felt before. They don’t understand that feeling. Perhaps they're falling in love, but will they understand and accept it? Their task was to make the other fall in love rather than for themselves.
‘ Love Tactics’ Ending, Explained
After their trip back from Cappadocia, it's now time to make the final move. Asli has been keeping her blog followers streamlined with everything and has been using the alias “Mr. K” for Kerem, and with a stroke of luck, the mysterious Mr. K starts trending on the internet. Their story gets viral, and everyone is staying to see if he'll fall in love with Asli. Kerem, still, has no idea about it. He calls Asli for regale at his place. After regale, what was supposed to be a lovemaking session ends up getting a deep talk session, which brings them near than ahead. This time, they understand that they've fallen in love.
Kerem has accepted that he has fallen in love and confesses it to his musketeers. On the other hand, Asli is still confused and, while talking with musketeers, finds out that Kerem is the one who wormed her friend after a one-night stage. This gives her a reason to back off from her passions of affection. In the heat of the moment, she humiliates Kerem, on social media, and rejects his love concession. Asli is a high illustration of social media controlling one’s life. She denied her real passions because she didn’t want her “ Love Practitioner” image to be hampered. For that, she ruined not only her but Kerem’s life as well.
Asli gets fired by her master, who's also Kerem’s one-sided love. Kerem has to hide his face every place he goes because of the incident. Yet, he agrees to go with Asli’s master to London on the condition of getting Asli her job back. Asli closes down her blog and, like a stereotyped and stereotypical love story, which Asli noway wanted, she tries to stop Kerem from leaving. After a lot of trouble is caused, Asli and Kerem eventually get together.
“ Love Tactics” builds up the narrative, keeping you intrigued in the morning but disappointing at the end. Asli and Kerem represent the youngish generation of the fat and insincere. They're driven by their career but have given up on love. They're the physical incarnation of cliché quotes like “ Plutocrat can’t buy you happiness, but it can buy you buses, clothes, etc. Just like their musketeers, you'll also believe that they will noway fall in love. Still, they do, and their chemistry is good. The gradational process of them falling in love doesn’t look forced or stretched at any point. Still, Asli literally cyberbullies and humiliates Kerem in front of entire Turkey on the internet, but he's too quick to forgive her after reading an ending letter on her blog. All of this with no questions asked. The entire movie feels enough realistic, but the end ruins it. It’s good to see a happy ending, but an ending with minimum trouble doesn’t sit right with the rest of the movie. Nevertheless, “ Love Tactics” is graphic and amusing for the utmost part, which makes it a decent watch.
